The Filipina singer, dubbed by the X Factor judge Simon Cowell as “one of the best we’ve ever had”, sailed through to the ITV contest’s boot camp stage.
Millions will see her celebrate with Dermot O’Leary on tonight’s show after battling her way to the Six Chair Challenge.
Judges’ Houses is of course the next step after the Six Chair Challenge, but as mentioned, when Ivy was selected to go with Sharon to LA, she of course had to apply for a visa to enter the States.
But the 33-year-old Pinay Diva, who went on to make it to Judges Houses, is now out of the competition after she was refused a visa she needed to travel to Los Angeles to film that part of the show.
Sources claimed her application was rejected “point blank” over an issue in her past.
Many X Factor judges have, in the past, held their Judges’ Houses rounds in the UK, so it’s simply bad luck for Ivy that her X Factor mentor chose LA this year.
However, even still, many of Ivy’s fans have questioned why she couldn’t sing for Sharon and Robbie Williams – who is Sharon’s assistant again this year – via Skype or similar?
“As with all contestants travelling to the US for Judges Houses, Ivy was required to have a visa. Unfortunately, there was an issue with her application being approved which meant that she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition,” the unidentified spokesperson said.
According to The Sun’s report, Ivy’s visa application was rejected due to “an issue in her past” that was not specified.
Fans of the 33-year old Bukidnon native have embarked on a “Bring back Ivy” campaign on social media to reinstall her as a wild card contestant under the hashtag, #ivyontheliveshow.
The Twitter accounts of all four judges including Ivy’s mentor for the Overs category, Sharon Osbourne have been tagged in each tweet demanding her return.

Only the Judges House phase of the contest is held outside the UK, after which the rest of the series will be completed in London until the finals night that will take place at Wembley Arena.
It remains to be seen whether fans can convince the judges to reinstate Ivy, the mother of a two-year-old daughter who flew all the way to London to join “The X Factor UK.” Whatever happens from hereon, viewers can still see her remaining performance in the Six Chair Challenge phase of “The X Factor UK” that starts airing this coming Sunday at RTL CBS Entertainment HD.
