This pasta dish is one of those recipes that proves that simple recipes often make for the best meals. In my own opinion, homemade pasta sauces always taste so much better than what can be easily bought in the groceries.

Having added some tuna for protein keeps this dish quick . easy and healthy. Today, I am sharing a recipe by my friend Rosanna Isla that she personally cooked for me. The recipe may appear too simple but Rosanna added her own personal flair to the dish to make it her own! Here are the ingredients:
250 grams pasta of choice
1 can(185 grams) spicy tuna flakes, drained
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, minced
2 tomatoes, diced
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese(optional)
In a large pot, prepare the pasta based on cooking instructions. Drain and set aside. In a pan, heat olive oil then saute garlic and onion until translucent. Add tomatoes, basil leaves and tuna then continue sauteing for 5 minutes. Add black olives, capers and chili then season with salt and pepper.Add pasta and parsley then stir cook for a minute. Turn off the heat. Arrange spicy tuna pasta, then sprinkle remaining parsley. Happy eating!
Less than 30 minutes preparation time and 10 to 30 minutes cooking time.
