The Fil-Am talent Darren Criss received his first Emmy songwriting nomination for the song “This Time” which was performed by Glee star Lea Michele on the show’s series finale.
According to Darren Criss in an interview withe Entertainment Weekly, that he wrote the original song for the show as a “love note” when the show said its ultimate goodbye last March.
The Fil-Am star Darren Criss is up against the veteran songwriters, the Fil-Am couple Robert Lopez and his wife, who have two nominated songs for this year’s Emmys: “Kiss An Old Man” for the show “The Comedians”, and for “Moving Pictures” the special opening song that they wrote for the Oscars.
Other nominees in the category include “You Gotta Believe” from “How Murray Saved Christmas,” “Cool with It” from “Inside Amy Schumer”, and “Papa’s Goods” from “Sons of Anarchy”.
