MMFF 2014 Day 9 Update Reaches P786 Million
MMDA Chairman Atty. Francisco Tolentino, overall executive committee of the ongoing 40th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) said the current update for the MMFF have already reached 4-percent higher compare to last year. The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported that the ticket sales of the film fest already earned P786 million on its ninth day of movie showing.
Atty. Tolentino said the top three highest grossing movies (in no particular order) were Feng Shui 2, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, and My Big Bossing.
Also, the romantic-comedy entry "English Only, Please" has replaced "Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles in the top four leading films in terms of overall ranking as well as the ticket sales earnings.
Other MMFF entries include "Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo", Magnum Muslim .357 and Shake, Rattle and Roll XV.
