A young kid named Antonette Tismo who sells "kalamay" or rice cakes and vegetables to help her mother became the latest three-chair turner in “The Voice Kids Philippines Season 3” after she pulled off a great performance.
In the episode aired on Sunday, Antonette Tismo took the stage singing Aegis’ hit “Sayang na Sayang,” which made the coaches Lea Salonga, Bamboo and Sharon Cuneta turn at the same time.
The Tony-award winning singer told Tismo that even though she is singing high notes, she managed not to sound like she is shouting.
Before she auditioned, Tismo became an internet sensation because of her viral video. She was filmed singing by her customer in exchange of buying rice cakes.
Eventually, Tismo chose to be part of Cuneta’s team, making her the second contestant of the night to join her group.
