Congratulations Trixia Maria Marana for winning the Miss Asia 2016 title in Kerala, India; besting 17 other hopefuls from across Asia.
The Philippines took home the Miss Asia crown with 23-year Trixia in the pageant held Thursday night (India time).
Marana, who hails from Dumaguete, competed against representatives from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Russia, Nepal, Myanmar, Moldova, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Iran, India, Bhutan, Belarus, Bangladesh, and Azerbaijan.
Trixia Maria Marana is a graduate of Asian College of Science and Technology - Dumaguete with a degree in Business Administration major in Management, and is currently employed as an auto loan assistant. She is not a newbie in the world of pageants, and joined Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2014 and was crowned Miss Negros Oriental in 2015.
In addition to winning the crown, Trixia who received a cash prize and gifts from sponsors. At the same pageant, Miss Belarus was titled first runner-up and Miss India was named second runner-up.
Miss Asia is a beauty pageant from the house of Pegasus in India "hoping to find the most beautiful and talented women from the Asian and Eurasian region."
