Wearing a black top with a plunging neckline, he matched with tight-fitting shorts and heels, Miss Powers, whose real name is Andrew Mark Baris, displayed his gritty voice, as well as a few splits, to blow past the audition round.

He earned the three nods needed from judges Iggy Azalea, Adam Lambert and Guy Sebastian, who told Baris: "Hands down the best opening to any audition I've ever seen. 'Thanks for making me realize how not flexible I am."
Baris, a ballroom teacher and yoga instructor, is just the newest contestant from the Philippines to wow Australia's version of the popular talent contest, which has been won twice by singers with Filipino roots. Marlisa Punzalan bagged the title back in 2014, while Cyrus Villanueva won it last year.
