The son of vice presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos Jr, Sandro Marcos took to social media to apologize to Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee after the controversial tweet went viral online.
The fake Twitter user pretending to be Sandro told Enchong “A gay will always be a gay,” in reaction to “A Marcos will and always be a Marcos” tweet from the Kapamilya actor. The post has since been deleted on his official account.
On Thursday, May 12 Sandro posted in his official Twitter account addressing Enchong Dee. He wrote: "Hey man, I understand that one of my fake accounts tweeted you, wanted to say I’d never say something like that. Apologies.”
It was also immediate responded by Dee. The actor said: “I guess I became too passionate with this election. My bad.” Enchong Dee apologized for what he said about the Marcoses.
To which Sandro replied “Not at all. This election has been so heated, it’s understandable. Thanks for understanding!”
Dee then said that the son of Sen.Bongbong Marcos has his respect.
“You got my respect, man. Godspeed to your family,” the actor wrote.
The Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee is a vocal supporter of Cong.Leni Robredo, who is the LP administration’s vice presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, Sandro’s father, Bongbong, is the son of the late dictator Pres.Ferdinand Marcos, who declared Martial Law in 1972. He was overthrown by a people power revolt in 1986 that swept Corazon Aquino, the mother of outgoing President Benigno Aquino III, into power.
