The actor who is considered as one of the most vocal supporter of Mayor Duterte flogged Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV for accusing the tough-talking mayor of hiding P211 million in a secret account at BPI’s Julia Vargas branch.
Robin Padilla was quotd as saying “Pulitika ito, isang malinaw na pulitika ito,” Padilla said of Trillanes, a vice presidential candidate who is supporting Duterte’s closest rival, Sen. Grace Poe. Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV was also accused by some supporters of Mayor Duterte as “troll” and a real supporter of the influential businessman, Danding Cojuangco.
The veteran action star also added that “Meron tayong batas na dapat sinusunod. Dapat si Sen. Trillanes, sinasabi niyang isang senador, hindi niya dapat sinasabi na walang rule of law… Magwiwithdraw muna ako,” he told reporters.
Padiall did not revealed how much his money or savings in the Ayala-owned Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) in which the actor plans to withdraw from the said bank.
The controversial expose of Sen. Trillanes caught the attention of national and local media but on social media, the senator was accused of putting a bad light on Mayor Duterte because of his lead in the recent presidential race. Sen. Trillanes has refused to say where he got the information on Duterte’s bank account, while BPI denied the allegations that their bank was breached.
