Judge Robin Padilla hit the golden buzzer during Power Duo's audition, sending them straight to the semi-finals.
Power Duo beat 11 other performers in the grand finals, namely, Crossover Family, The Chosen Ones, Kurt Philip Espiritu, Dino Splendid Acrobats, Ody Sto. Domingo, Next Option, Amazing Pyra, Mastermind, UA Mindanao, Power Impact, and the Sto Tomas Bulilit Generation.
Joining Power Duo in the Top 3 were Ody Sto Domingo and Amazing Pyra.
Fifty percent of the decision on the winner came from the judges, while the remaining 50% came from the audience's votes.
The winner of PGT5 received P2 million.
The grand finals were held on May 21 and 22 at the Mall of Asia Arena, with 7 acts performing on the first night, and the remaining 5 performing on the second.
The judges for PGT5 were Robin, Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, and former ABS-CBN vice president Freddie M. Garcia. The season was hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford.
