The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) places the top-rating series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” under “Probationary Period” after use of “foul language” during the previous episode of the show. The decision was released by the MTRCB after the “mandatory conference” with the ABS-CBN representatives.
During the conference held on Tuesday, June 9, the MTRCB and the representatives of ABS-CBN tackled the issue about the controversial issue which was shown on national TV during the May 29 episode of the top-rating primetime series featuring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
According to MTRCB, the representatives of ABS-CBN admitted that there is indeed some negligence on their part and some of the words used by the characters were not suitable for very young audiences.
The MTRCB was quoted as saying ” Yung naging desisyon namin ay base na rin sa pag-amin ng representatives ng programa na may konting pagkukulang at may mga salitang ginamit sa programa na hindi angkop o karapat-dapat sa telebisyon,” the MTRCB stated through Atty. Jose Antonio Veloso.
According to Atty. Veloso, the MTRCB will work closely with those who are behind the program to ensure that the incident will not happen again in the future episodes of the Twitter-trending and top-rating TV series.
The MTRCB also added that the probation period of three months will be imposed to “Pangako Sa ‘Yo. MTRCB stated “May probationary period ng three months sa panahon na ‘yan, imo-monitor namin nang mas maigting yung programa and sila rin para magtulungan kami” the MTRCB stated.
