According to the news report released by the Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub, after the dismissal of the court upon the second case over sexual harassment of Vhong to Deniece, the saga seemed to open again as she filed again for the third time
It seems like the case had been restless towards issue between actor Vhong Navarro and Deniece Cornejo as the filing of complaint affidavit surfaced again for the third time.
According to the news report released by the Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub, after the dismissal of the court upon the second case over sexual harassment of Vhong to Deniece, the saga seemed to open again as she filed again for the third time.
January 24, 2014, the Kapamilya actor Vhong Navarro involved to mauling incident against Cedric Lee and cohorts at a certain condominium in BGC and following Cornejo’s said accusation of him.
And later on, Deniece claimed that she was sexually violated by the actor on their first meeting and on the second meeting.
Based on previous report, the Filipino journalist Tony Calvento believed that Vhong will be ‘arrested for the coming week’ followed by the post containing the complaint affidavit of Cornejo.
And on for the third time of her complaint, she stated as reflected on paragraph 14 to 16 where a friend of her confirms not coming over her place and so she then politely asked the respondent to leave.
However, accordingly, the respondent wanted to have a little chat with her and so, feeling guilty, she had a little chat with him and that was when she was offered by the respondent a wine and she made a sip.
She then again asked the respondent to leave but ‘respondent pleaded’ to stay longer and joked around of having a sleep over. She refused and that was when she felt being “dizzy, felt her head spinning, and found it difficult to move.”
As noted on paragraph 32, the statement indicated:
“However, in my confusion and emotional trauma in my rush to indict Respondent, I signed, without completely reading and fully understanding, a complaint-affidavit prepared by my former lawyer dated January 29, 2014.”
However, according to the actor’s lawyer, Atty. Alma Mallonga, he said, ” I can confirm, however, that the complaint filed by Deniece for rape almost two years ago – the THIRD one she has filed against Vhong – has not yet been resolved by the DOJ but that a resolution is forthcoming.”
Furthermore explained, “We have, in fact, been urging the DOJ to dismiss the third complaint, for the same reasons that the first two complaints for rape filed by Deniece had already been DISMISSED by the DOJ itself and by the City Prosecutor of Taguig (Taguig OCP): the claim for rape was found to be unbelievable, illogical, ‘astonishing and incredible as it is contrary to human frailty.”
