The PMPC Star Awards honors the best Filipino movies, performers and stakeholders of 2015 for the mainstream and indie film categories.
Historical-biographical film 'Felix Manalo' bagged major awards including best film and best director for Joel Lamangan.
Piolo Pascual and Dennis Trillo tied for the Movie Actor of the Year award for 'Silong' and 'Felix Manalo' films respectively.
Kapamilya star Bea Alonzo won the best actress trophy for 'A Second Chance.'
The star-studded ceremony was opened with the performances of Jed Madela, Yeng Constantino, Christian Bautista, Morisette Amon, Mark Bautista and Juris to honor the ‘Love Teams And Love Themes Of Philippine Cinema.'
It's Showtime's boy group Hashtags with Zeus Collins, Jon Lucas, Jameson Blake, Ryle Santiago, Luke Conde, Jimboy Martin, Ronnie Alonte, McCoy de Leon, Nikko Natividad, Tom Doromal and Paulo Angeles also performed a dance number.
The PMPC gave recognition to Ms. Amalia Fuentes, this year's Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Awardee. Director Mel Chionglo received the Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award.
