Some students of a university in Manila got an experience in life when a Light Rail Transit train they were riding on Thursday sprinted at full speed while the door in front of them was open.
YouScooper James Cubelo, 19, a graduating student of the Technological University of the Philippines, took a video of the incident and posted it on his Facebook account.
As of 8:45 a.m. the video already had 445,682 views.
Cubelo said they took the LRT train at Central Station at about 6 p.m., and to their suprise, the train moved and ran at full speed with the door still open.
He said they called the attention of the guard at the next stop [UN Station] but the guard said: "kapit nalang kayo ng mabuti (just hold tight on the handrails)"
Cubelo said the door problem was addressed when the train reached the Pedro Gil Station.
In a statement obtained by GMA News Online, the Light Rail Manila Corp. apologized for the incident and promised to conduct an investigation on the "door issue."
