There is no definite date yet as to when the Encantadia 2016 will start airing on the Kapuso network but pre-production is already under way. Mark Reyes, who is expected to direct the fantasy series, regularly updates fans regarding progress on the show via his Instagram account. On Tuesday night, March 6, Direk Mark and the rest of his team--including returning head writer Suzette Doctolero and lead designer Noel Layon Flores--met up for another Encantadia-related meeting.
Direk Mark posted on Facebook: 'It's 12:40am. We just finished our meeting. Yup Encantadia is definitely back in production!' Meanwhile, Noel uploaded an update on his Facebook account with a photo of what seems to be the cast line-up for the telefantasya. His caption for the photo: 'Damn... 8pm to 12 midnight... All that for Encantadia. 2016 is definitely a busy fantastic year.' The photo shows the line-up of the characters and opposite each name appears initials of the stars who already got the part.
