In a report on GMA News ' 24 Oras " segment Chika Minute on Friday , the original cast such as Camille Pratts who played the role of Sandra Santiago-Monterea and Gabby Eigenmann as the antagonist Desmond Montereal were happy and proud. This is also the first time Gabby has won an acting award for a soap as Best Supporting Actor.
Munting Heredera is a Filipino family-oriented drama series created and developed by Director Maryo J. de los Reyes for GMA Network. Playing the lead role of Doña Anastacia, a rich widow in search of her "munting heredera", is the multi-award winning actress and one of the original Queens of Philippine cinema, Gloria Romero, making her television debut.The show was first shown on May 9, 2011, replacing Dwarfina on GMA Network and on May 11, 2011, on GMA Pinoy.

Doña Anastacia (or simply "Ana"), a rich widowed businesswoman and a loving grandmother, is searching for her rightful heiress.
