Carol Banawa's famous song "Bakit Di Totohanin" was played in the series supposedly set at a beach in the Philippines two years prior. The Filipino song was played during a scene of actors Stefan Salvatore played by Paul Wesley and Elizabeth Blackmooore as Valerie Tulle,
The Filipina singer also posted on her Twitter account last March 30 inviting her fans to watch the top-rating American TV series "The Vampire Diaries," saying that they might hear one of her songs on the popular show.
Carol Banawa also took to her official Instagram account as the series was aired that she was overwhelmed that her song "Bakit Di Totohanin" was used in the show.
