The Department of Education or DepEd conducted an investigation on the issue involving Krisel Mallari, the class salutatorian of Sto. Niño Parochial School (SNPS) in Quezon City who was interrupted while giving her salutatory address.

According to the report of Inquirer.net, DepEd Quezon City gave the administration of SNPS an allotted 48 hours to explain its side regarding the controversy.
“We have given the school a memorandum asking them to explain within 48 hours what really happened,” DepEd Quezon City Division officer-in-charge Helen Grace Go said.
Krisel Mallari’s case has already been raised to the DepEd National Capital Region Division and the National Office. DepEd spokesperson Assistant Secretary Tonisito Umali earlier announced that they will launch a probe on Krisel Mallari’s case.
Meanwhile, Krisel Mallari’s speech is currently making rounds online. The incident garnered reaction from the netizens with some noted support for Mallari. Others even condemn the school for making flaws while she deliver her speech.
The salutatory address of Krisel Mallari hinted an alleged cheating which involves their class valedictorian. SNPS administration has already gave their official statement with regards to the incident which happened last March 21, 2014 through its Facebook account.
